We're back (sort of) and focusing on the excellent AFC Wimbledon Ladies. Kevin Fosters' side have only lost once since the end of September 2021 so they've been steadily building momentum in the league and are still involved in two cup competitions at the time of writing...

NWSL October: No More Silence (Pt.2)
Part 2 of the October Review of the NWSL now. It had been a tough month for all teams in the league after 'The Athletic' published serious allegations against one of the League’s most successful Head Coaches. By the end of the month the NWSL had appointed new (interim) Commissioner, Marla Messing, and both FIFA and US Soccer had committed to thorough investigations. Despite the fact that they only picked up six points during the month - Portland secured the Regular Season ‘Shield’ with a game to spare…
NWSL October: No More Silence (Pt.1)
It was a tough October for all teams in the NWSL after the Athletic published serious allegations against one of the League's most successful Head Coaches. Week 19 fixtures were postponed as a result as the league took stock and the Commissioner resigned. When the football resumed, despite picking up just six points during the month, Portland secured the Regular Season 'Shield' Trophy...
FAWSL Week 5: Manchester Dramatics…
Honours ended even between Manchester United and ten-player Manchester City in a cracking contest at the Leigh Sports Village. City full back Georgia Stanway was sent off for a high challenge, but the visitors still took a lead into the break through Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw's header. United turned things around in three second half minutes through substitute Lucy Staniforth and striker Alessia Russo, but Ellen White ensured a share of the spoils with ten minutes left, converting at close range after Jess Park's shot crashed off the cross bar...

Still no points on the board for Leicester, Birmingham and Reading. Here's Week 4 of the WSL...
Dons Starting to Click: AFC Wimbledon Ladies, September 2021
D2B is back in the FA Women's National League with our second review of the AFC Wimbledon Ladies' D1SE campaign. August ended with the Dons sat in mid-table, so Kevin Foster's talented squad would need to raise their performance levels during September if they were realistically going to be able to fight their way back into the promotion race...
NWSL: Pacific North West Breakaway (Pt.2)
Here's part two of our NWSL Review for September with just the one game week to wrap up. Portland held firm at the top of the standings, despite defeat to the Red Stars. They were also helped in no small part by Washington Spirit having to concede a 3-0 defeat after failing to meet Covid-19 protocols. This exact same situation arose with OL Reign, helping both Cascadia clubs to pull away from the rest of the pack in their pursuit of the 2021 Regular Season ‘Shield’…
FAWSL Week 3: Round-up
Last season's top four all met during Week 3 with London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea both winning by five-goal margins over their Manchester rivals; Spurs join the Gunners at the top of the WSL with maximum points; Aston Villa remain unbeaten; West Ham got their first home win in over a season's-worth of football; Everton got off the mark against (now) bottom club Birmingham; still no points and no goals for Reading...
